One of my pet peeves on the Tube is flash photography. I have many pet peeves, including standing on the wrong side of the escalator, putting feet on seats, etc. To put it bluntly, I hate almost all commuters (and tourists who can’t seem to control themselves just because they’re in a different city).
There are many reasons why flash photography is banned on the Underground, including safety and possibly the fact that it’s irritating as hell.
I don’t want to get on a train and have several flashes go off in my face whilst people pout and take pictures of themselves.
“Wow, I’m so interesting! I took a picture of myself on A TRAIN. I’m such a rebel!”
I heard this announcement from a very pissed off driver on my train today.
Please remember that flash photography is not permitted on any part of the London Underground. London Underground drivers have to work in very dark tunnels. Thank you for blinding me.
I think that says it all, really.
